Day 17 Jingchuan to Ping Liang

We have been cycling through a variety of landscapes that China has to offer and today we are going through tranquil corn fields and meeting families along the way. It is amazing that in a country over a billion people you can find such peaceful settings.
我们已经骑车领略了中国各种各样的景色，今天我们在寂静的玉米地里骑车，一路上遇到了不少家庭。在一个超过10亿人口的国家居然有这么安静的地方，真令人意想不到。

The people of the country side are very active. We often see individuals cycling, women pulling their husbands in wheel carts....and families working hard in the fields. These people are very kind and every time we make a stop they always give us words of encouragement "yi lun shu feng".
乡村里的人都很有活力。我经常看到有独自骑车的人，还有妇女们用推车推着她们各自的丈夫…还有在田里劳作的一家人。这些人都很友善，每当我们要走时，她们都会祝我们“一路顺风”。

We are meeting many Hui people in this region who are a Muslim ethnic group. They are one of 56 minority groups in China and I absolutely love their food. We have been eating the same dish twice a day which is called "Chao Niurou Pian"....unreal!
我们在这个地方遇见了很多回族人，他们是穆斯林，回族是中国少数民族之一。中国有56个少数民族，我特别喜欢他们的特色美食。我们一天里已经吃了两次“炒牛肉片”…太不靠谱了！

I am writing 10 km outside of Ping Liang. We positioned our tents right beside the corn fields and away from the highway; however, we thought we escaped the noise, but we are 300 feet away for the railway tracks....In the last hour we have heard four trains go past....great spot! In our defense we setup camp in the dark...
我正在平凉10公里外写这篇博文。我们把帐篷扎在玉米地旁，离高速远远的；我们以为自己摆脱了噪音，但是我们离铁路只有300英尺…前一个小时我们听到4辆火车过去了…好地方！最后我们把帐篷扎到了黑暗中…

 
Today we refilled the trailer and made visits to many excited communities. We are trying to promote the idea of sharing within the communities which will encourage them to play together; however, there are a few people who don't agree with our philosophy and I am just waiting for the day that we get chased down the highway by a angry mob driving a "Xiao Fei Long" with pitchforks in hand! 
今天我们装满了小拖车，拜访了很多社区。我们试着在社区中传播全民体育的理念；但是，有一些人与我们的意见相左，我现在就等着有一天一个愤怒的怪物骑着“小飞龙”，手里拿着耙子来追击我们！


We are 300 km away from Lanzhou and our bikes are holding strong. Until next time and goodnight....
