Yesterday was a big day! We started off our morning by riding into the east side of Wuhu to visit the Wuhu Orphanage. We dropped off some equipment, but unfortunately we were not allowed to visit the children because an appointement is required by the provincial government. However, Li Huang Li the director of the Orphanage was very kind and she gave us her word that the equipment would get to the children. Now it was time to head to Hefei which was 150 km from our destination. We decided to take the road less traveled instead of the express way. We took the "Xian Dao" old country road to Hefei....and it was a bumpy ride for most of the way. However, it was test to see the durability of our bikes and trailer and we survived. We are now biking through the mountains and country side which has been beautiful. The rice fields have been stunning and the people in these small communities have been very kind. At times I have been challenging the locals for a little sport, a race throughout the country side...This old cat was cold as ice, but in the end I pulled through... 有时候我也和当地人比比体育,一场在乡间举行的比赛···这个人挺厉害的,但我最后还是超过了他··· Our first big climb of our trip took place during this leg. We climbed Tai Hu Shan right outside of Gaochun and the views were spectacular. The great thing about having the trailer is when I descend from the top of mountain, I am coming down with speed and the "Korean Express" is leading the charge. After our descend we met some locals right outside of Tai Hu Shan and we gave them some sporting equipment before making our last push towards Hefei. We arrived in Hefei to our hotel at 11 o'clock last night after a 170 km ride. We had to add an extra 20 km to get to the city center which was chaotic. Today, we are refilling the trailer and heading to Lu An. Thank you everyone for your support, everytime we stop we read your comments which give us that extra push.... 谢谢大家的支持,每次我们停下脚步都会看看你们的评论,这给予了我们很大的动力··· Thinking about purchasing one of these visors for the ride....

Amazing, you must saw lots of green during the riding. The "scarves" that you guys wear are really cool. What are they used for?

They are used to protect us from the dust on the roads and the carbon emissions coming from the vehicles.

They don't have the same colour, flexibility, or durability.
